Don't you wish you knew the lesson that you were going to learn from someone before really getting involved with them? Like what is their purpose going to be in your life or how big will their existence be to you? Will they hurt you or help you? Imagine people came with warning signs. Like if they were untrustworthy or clingy or a thief or something. Would you still fuck with them? Probably not! But, I guess that's what makes meeting people fun. The journey is exhilarating because you never know what's going to happen or how its going to turn out. Of course you expect for the best and want the relationship to blossom, and it usually does at first. Then people's true colors show and make you second guess why you involved yourself with them at all. The question is, how can you really decipher when a person was your lesson or your blessing? Or can they be both at the same time? Whatever transpired between you and the other person can sometimes help you realize what you learned from them. And you can also become aware of why God allowed you to meet certain people. You learn to not accept certain things or not to affiliate yourself with others that display characteristics that you have seen in the past from people you no longer associate with. Truth is, a lesson is a blessing in disguise. Sometimes the way it plays out will suck in the beginning, but overall it won't matter after a while and you will grow into a better person. Have you ever met someone and thanked God for putting them into your life ever since the day you met them? Even on your worst day you appreciate them and you feel like no one can ever replace them? Yes, that person is a blessing to your life. It can be your mom, dad, sister, brother, friend, boyfriend, girlfriend...anybody! Moral of the story you will know who your blessings are before your lessons. Both are beneficial to your life though. So the next time you allow someone into your personal life, ask yourself will this person be a blessing or a lesson or only last for a season in your life. And if so, be prepared to learn valuable things from that relationship you had with the person and try not to make the same mishaps twice.
